Nature of Incident
In-person harrassment, slurs or threats of violence
I moved a county away to Fort Lauderdale to move to an area that had a better environment and schools for my daughter, not knowing that I would be coming to an environment where I would have to continuously have to worry about being harassed, called nigger, and have my property vandalized. I have a neighbor who not only is a racist but is also obsessed with a parking space. The incident started in April 22nd,where she left a note on my car demanding for me to no longer park in the parking space that I parked in, even after she was already informed by the leasing office that there are no assigned parking spaces until the middle of July. Since that incident I have made several reports of the smell of drugs coming from her unit and filed for a stay away order. In broward county, apparently we don\\\'t have a category that applied to my situation of her continuously harassing me and on June 8th, she threatened to put a bullet in my head and then on June 16th she began to harass another neighbor that morning before she went to work. I\\\'ve made several reports to the local law enforcement, as well as the leasing office. My stay away order was denied by the judge due to, the only category in which they suggested, was any where close to my situation which was \\\"stalking\\\". He stated my incident didn\\\'t apply to the category. Since I\\\'ve moved in she not only harassed me, but she\\\'s also approached me and came to my window, tapping at my window in the mornings to harass me while I\\\'m just trying to take my daughter to work.
